This client was looking for an upgrade to their 20-year old clinic space, to create a more comfortable and hospitality-style waiting area. As we began to evaluate their functional layout, it was clear that we could greatly increase their efficiency by completely re-working the business office functions and gathering them together in the core of the space. The added benefit of this re-arrangement was that the X-Ray was moved closer to the Treatment Area, and a Private Treatment Room was created out of a former office. The new reception desk has a coffee-shop feel, with the radiused drum on the corner providing a more inviting place for patients to check in. The variety of seating in the lounge area adds to the welcoming ambiance, along with the multiple colors of wood throughout the space.

Treatment Area
The lighting in the Treatment Area was completely changed, replacing the old surface-mounted fluorescent boxes with linear pendants, providing a softer combination of both direct and indirect lighting. The staff work areas were combined into one conveniently-located central island, with the treatment chairs aligned along the walls to take advantage of the large existing windows.
